We previously reported that Rihanna's 21-year-old cousin, Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne, was shot and killed the day after Christmas 2017.
Since then, a 23-year-old by the name of Shawayne Dashawn Williams was charged with the crime. "Alleyne was reportedly walking near his home on Tuesday (Dec. 26) when a man shot him several times before fleeing the scene," New York Daily News reported. "Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead after he was rushed to the hospital."
Yesterday (Jan. 10), the funeral for the slain family member took place at St. George Parish Church in Barbados, which wasn't that far from where Allen was killed. Riri has said herself that she's not a big crier. But, she couldn't help shedding tears when she had to lay her young cousin to rest. Photos captured at the funeral showed the singer wearing all white and wiping away tears, as she said her final goodbyes.
“We will always have a void without you, but we will never stop loving you. Hope you were happy with your going away celebration today,” Riri said on IG. See photos of the ceremony below.
