This Video Of Rihanna Teaching A Math Class In Malawi Will Warm Your Heart

Yesterday (June 7), Rihanna debuted a video that chronicled her trip to the the southeastern African country of Malawi. She visited to learn more about the educational issues that the nation faces, such as lack of funding. 

Riri is taking her roles as the Global Ambassador for the Global Partnership for Education, and the founder of Clara Lionel Foundation. She wanted to see firsthand about the obstacles that kids who attend school in Malawi face on a daily basis in order to find solutions to help them. 

The superstar mainly focused on kids who went to Muzu primary school. She walked into classes and watched how they learned. Rihanna even helped to teach a math class! "I love that they learn in melody," the singer said, as she spoke about her experience in the classes. "That's like my favorite thing because kids, they adopt melody really, really quickly. And so if you can use that as a learning tool, I think that's the most brilliant, brilliant thing." 

Through her philanthropic roles, Rihanna and the Global Partnership for Education wants to raise $3.1 billion dollars to give over 870 million children around the world the opportunity to have a receive a quality education. You can donate here.
