#Jobs: Effects Of The Pandemic You're Only Just Now Feeling At Work!

The only thing worse than burnout is delayed burnout. We’ve all had a pile of stress loaded onto us over this past year and for a lot of people, the effects are only hitting them just now. Here are some ways - thanks to the Huffington Post - stress is manifesting right now.

● You Have No Motivation Left To Do Your Job. According to psychologist Cicely Horsham-Brathwaite, hitting your breaking point often leads to feeling bored and disengaged at work. Psychologist Yesel Yoon says a lot of this feeling comes from the wins that COVID-19 has robbed from us like raises or vacations or even socializing with coworkers. Instead, it just keeps on handing us L’s.

● You Feel Resentful When Others Act Like It’s Business As Usual. If the whole time you’re at work the voice in your head is screaming ‘none of this is normal,’ you're not alone. A recent survey found one in five workers say their employer doesn’t care about work-life balance and most say they’re overworked. Turns out being told to work like ‘business as usual’ when the world is insane causes a lot of resentment. Who knew?

● You Are Seriously Considering A Job Switch. With things opening up again, don’t be surprised to see a lot of notifications from friends that they’ve switched gigs. A majority of Americans surveyed by LinkedIn back in March said they had put career moves on hold just to collect a steady paycheck during the pandemic. But after a year of stress, people are finally ready to live their best life.
