#TRENDING: Weekend Music News (8/11)

As expected, Demi Lovato has pulled the plug on all her scheduled work engagements to concentrate on rehab -- which means she'll probably be off the road for the rest of the year.

It's been reported that Demi was admitted to an in-patient facility for a stint that would last "at least 30 days," but she's canceled appearances further into the future -- including a November tour of South America. Her promoters issued a statement saying they "wish Demi Lovato the best now and in the future, and we hope to see her soon in South America."

She spent a full year in a sober living facility following her first rehab stint back in 2010. (TMZ)

Bey and Jay's On the Run 2 tour comes to Columbia, South Carolina on August 21st, and traffic to the show is expected to be so bad that a local school district has decided to close early to keep buses from getting caught in the massive jam.

80,000 fans are expected to attend the concert at the University of South Carolina's football stadium. (WTVD-TV)

There’s nothing worse than coming back to your car only to realize it’s been towed -- except maybe what happened to Drake.

The superstar rapper’s tour bus got moved from a Kansas City, Missouri parking lot overnight. The good news is, it wasn’t his personal bus. The vehicle used for the production crew was towed from the hotel where the rapper and his backstage staff were staying at around three in the morning on Thursday.

TMZ tapped police records but couldn’t find any citations or arrests. It could be a case of repossession, since state law doesn’t require repo companies to notify cops before seizing property.

Drake and Migos plan to kick off their tour tomorrow (Friday) night at the Sprint Center before heading to Minnesota.

Kanye West joked with Jimmy Kimmel last night. But most of the conversation was rather serious as Kanye discussed his philosophies.

Kanye admitted he was afraid to express his admiration for President Donald Trump ahead of the 2016 election (quote) “It took me a year and a half to have the confidence to stand up and put on the [MAGA] hat no matter what the consequences were. The hat represented overcoming fear. You can’t bully me. Liberals can’t bully me. The news can’t bully me because at that point if I’m afraid I’m no longer Ye.”

Selena Gomez has been putting on a brave face about longtime love Justin Bieber getting ready to tie the knot with someone else -- but part of her still wants her bad boy back.

A source close to Selena tells Hollywood Life that she's genuinely happy for Justin and Hailey Baldwin, but only to a point. The insider says, “Selena has very mixed emotions when it comes to Justin being engaged. Some days she’s almost relieved because it’s shut the door and allowed her to move on. But other days she can’t help but feel some disappointment. For years Selena believed it would be her marrying Justin.”

Meanwhile, if you've got about $3 million to spare, you could move to North Texas and live like Selena Gomez... who has knocked the price of her Fort Worth home down to just shy of $3 million!

Take a virtual tour at the link above... it's pretty spectacular.

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are plowing forward with wedding plans.

Fans thought the engagement might be in jeopardy based on Justin’s sobbing spell. He told TMZ, (quote) “You got good days and you got bad days. It’s not real without any bad days.”

Hailey and Justin are consulting Pastor Timothy Keller’s book called The Meaning of Marriage, which describes how couples should act according to a strict reading of the Bible.

Some of the messages in The Meaning of Marriage include no sex before marriage and wives must submit to husbands. Keller dispels so-called modern myths that every person has a soulmate and romance is necessary for wedded bliss. One passage in The Meaning of Marriage says, (quote) “Marriage is not something that can realized by two people of the same sex. That is the unanimous view of the Biblical authors.” (Us Weekly)

Usher accuser Laura Helm is back in the news again.

After dropping a previous case, she’s trying her luck again.

The initial lawsuit was over the singer allegedly giving her herpes. He responded that she assumed the risk by sleeping with him unprotected. She ended up dropping the case voluntarily for undisclosed reasons.

Now, The Blast reports that she’s suing him for suggesting that she may have already had an STD that he believes she could have contracted from a previous partner. The singer denied any wrongdoing and tried to stick Laura with the legal bills.

New legal documents call this latest tactic on Usher’s part “a shallow attempt to divert responsibility.”
