Congratulations to the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, who won their fourth World Cup title yesterday, defeating The Netherlands 2-0. The team is the best in the world -- and they’re also best sellers. The USA Women's Home jersey is the number one selling soccer jersey, men's or women's, ever sold on Nike.com in one season. They’re dominant in their sport, generate massive television ratings AND they’re selling tons of merchandise. Pretty strong arguments in their fight for equal – if not more -- pay. (CBC)

That’s more than the 31% of respondents who said they showed the most affection toward their kids and 23% who said they gave their spouse or significant other the most attention and affection.

A new CNBC/Acornssurveyfound that 25% of men said they spent more than $100 the last time they made an impulse buy, compared to 16% of women. “The stereotype of women as impulsive in their purchase decisions is an inaccurate one,” says Ross Steinman, a psychology professor at Widener University. “Impulse purchases are a result of consumer personality characteristics as well as a strategic placement of enticing stimuli in the shopping environment. “
