For any parent who's sent a dozen "where are you" texts without a response, a new app could be your perfect solution.
According to WTHR, Nick Herbert designed the app ReplyASAP, which will lock your child's cellphone until they respond to your text because "important messages shouldn't be missed." It will make a sound alerting them you've texted, even if the phone is in silent mode.
While the app was intended for parents to use with their kids, Herbert said it can also be used for elderly family members.
For now, there is no iOS version for Apple devices, but anyone on an Android device can find it in the Google Play store.
