The Randoms-Best Place to Drink, iHop's New name, & More

Putting the "B" in Pancakes … Pancake house IHOP posted a cryptic tweet on Monday saying they are changing their name. They wrote, "For 60 pancakin’ years, we've been IHOP. Now, we're flippin’ our name to IHOB. Find out what it could 'B' on 6/11/18." Naturally, everyone is trying to figure out what the B stands for -- with guesses like breakfast, biscuits and bacon. In a recent interview, a company spokesperson explained, "We're serious about the quality of food and our menu, and this name change really reflects that." For diners who remember when it was actually called International House of Pancakes, it’s not likely IHOB will easily roll off the tongue. (Newser

Getting their drink on … at home. According to a new survey, a majority of Americans (55 percent) prefer to drink at home than go out. And surprisingly, a lot of Millennials would rather do drinks under their own roofs. 28 percent of young adults, ages 24 to 31, said they would rather drink at home because "it takes too much effort to go out." 74 percent of respondents said a girls' or guys' night in was so much more relaxing – no waiting for a table, waiting in line at a club, trying to get a bartender’s attention, or getting dressed up. 35 percent said having drinks at home with friends was a better way to catch up than shouting across a table at a bar or restaurant. And, of course, popping some bottles at home is a whole lot cheaper, with 69 percent of respondents saying that's why they would rather have drinks at home. (Moneyish)
