BOBBY SHMURDA: First Day Out!

He'll be "light-skinned in Jamaica," before he goes back to jail -- heard you.

Bobby Shmurda's still celebrating after serving a seven-year stint in federal prison.

The GS9 rapper was released from an upstate New York prison on Tuesday, and brought magazine along to detail his first day out. After being greeted by family and friends like Quavo,Meek Mill and Rowdy Rebel -- who was also convicted in the 2014 conspiracy case and released back in December -- he flew home in flashy fashion via private jet.

Bobby was put up in a Brooklyn loft overlooking the New York City skyline and showered with a variety of handpicked designer clothes, and an on-call barber was there to prepare him for his welcome-home party later in the day.

While he was settling in and catching up with old friends, he told GQ that he was excited to see all of his family, including his godchildren, whom he'd last seen when they were babies. He added that while he was locked up, he read up a lot on real estate, so in addition to music, he plans to get involved in the market.

Quavo mentioned that the night before Bobby's release, he'd worked in the studio with Rowdy, so a feature is definitely brewing for the next Migos album.

Once the party kicked off, Shmurda's first night out ended well in more hugs from family and friends, laughter, crying and all of his favorite foods.

  • He'd spoken to Nipsey Hussle a month before he died. Life is really too short.
  • He must've seen 50 Cent's show For Life, because he read legal books to help with his case just like its character, Aaron.
  • He'll be "light-skinned in Jamaica," before he goes back to jail -- heard you.
