- This isn't his first flick. Wiz has popped up in everything from Mac & Devin to Uncle Drew.
- Sounds like a great way to get a younger audience to tune into a show about a historical figure who's been dead for 150 years.
- It'd be cool if Wiz records some new music for the soundtrack.
- Wiz is too talented to be put into a box. Why just be a rapper when you do so much more?
Wiz Khalifa is going Hollywood.
The rapper has signed on to a new Apple TV+ series called Dickinson, in which he will play the character of Death. The show’s creator told Entertainment Weekly how the casting came about, explaining, “We literally put Wiz Khalifa on our tone board as this would be the dream… Like he’s the aesthetic we want Death to have and then somehow we magically got Wiz Khalifa, so that was incredible."
The Death character will serve as a muse for poetEmily Dickinson, played byHailee Steinfeld.
The concept forDickinsonwill see hip-hop and poetry blended together. The series won’t be a period piece, but will instead be updated to include modern music and dialogue.
