Sean "Diddy" Combs is throwing up a Hail Mary pass -- in hopes of becoming part owner of the NFL's Carolina Panthers.
Diddy is part of a potential ownership group that also includes NBA star Stephen Curry and e-commerce billionaire Michael Rubin, who'd be putting up most of the two-billion-plus cash outlay for the team. Current Panthers owner Jerry Richardson is being pressured to sell after he was hit with numerous workplace harassment charges, both sexual and racial.
Combs and Curry, who's a North Carolina native, both expressed interest in being part of an ownership group when Richardson first announced the team would be put up for sale. (ESPN)
