Was it ever really a summer in the US if you, your family or at least your friends and family friends wore the yearly Old Navy flag t-shirts?? No. It wasn't.

And this year Old Navy is giving away the 2021 flag shirts for a good reason: new United States citizens will get the flag t-shirt for free from Old Navy as a way to celebrate their first Independence Day as a US citizen.

Further, Old Navy has redesigned the t-shirts to, yes, still include the American Flag but also be more inclusive. The shirts this year now include the names of the five U.S. territories (Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Northern Mariana Islands in addition to the 50 states.

Old Navy teamed up with nonprofit Welcome America to give the iconic annual flag shirts to newly naturalized citizens in celebration of their first 4th of July as citizens. Old Navy also committed to support the nonprofit's mission of building inclusive communities with a $65,000 donation. Plus, a portion of the donation will go toward celebration events for the newly naturalized United States citizens.

If you want one of the iconic annual flag tee's for yourself, everything from adults, to kids, to babies, to dog options are available at Old Navy starting at $5.

BRB, considering if Michael, the twins and I need these flag outfits for the 4th this year... unclear if they have a maternity option for me though!

And congratulations to all newly naturalized citizens celebrating their first 4th of July as citizens!! Such a special celebration.
