Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's New Baby Girl's Name Is So Special

BRITAIN-ROYALS

Baby news was in the air this weekend! Yesterday was my Sprinkle for baby-girl and also the day Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced that they’re now a family of four! More on my baby sprinkle later... but YES, Archie, Harry and Meghan's 2-year-old is officially a big brother to his new baby sister.

Here are the facts:

HER NAME????? Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor... Obviously the name holds a lot of meaning. LIli is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet (for Elizabeth). Her middle name, Diana, is an obvious nod to her beloved late grandmother, Prince Harry's mom, The Princess of Wales who died in a car accident in 1997.

Lili was born on Friday, June 4 at 11:40 a.m. at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, near where Prince Harry and Meghan live now. She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz, and both mother and child are healthy and well, and settling in at home.

Lili's name is extra notable right now because of the drama between Harry and Meghan and the royal family since their departure from the royal family last year. Regardless of any issue between the royal family and Harry and Meghan now, Buckingham Palace also released their own announcement about the birth of the new baby girl.

The Palace said: "The Queen, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been informed and are delighted with the news."

And Harry's father, Prince Charles, and step mother, The Duchess of Cornwall, tweeted:

A baby always brings people together!!!

And is it just me or does California feel extra royal now?! I mean, we already had Prince Harry, Meghan and Archie, but now a royal family member has been born here!
