Rihanna Shares Dating Advice That May Change Your Whole Outlook

Our girl Rihanna has always been a smart business woman and incredible artist - but now she's proving to be smart in the dating world as well with some advice that will have you going, "oooooh yeah.... she's right."

RiRi covers the September 2018 British Vogue and first of all, looks flawless, and also drops some serious wisdom for everyone out there.

Let's be honest, Rihanna has been guiding us through our dating lives for years whether we realized it or not - back in 2015 she gave us this piece of brilliance about men needing attention:

"Guys need attention. They need that nourishment, that little stroke of the ego that gets them by every now and then. I’ll give it to my family, I’ll give it to my work — but I will not give it to a man right now."

And in 2016, she gave us some inspiration for just going for it:

"I always believed that when you follow your heart or your gut, when you really follow the things that feel great to you, you can never lose, because settling is the worst feeling in the world."

But now it's 2018, and this advice might just lead you to change your view on dating and on the people you're seeking out.

Are you ready?

Rihanna said:

"I think a lot of people meet people and then they're dating the idea of what the person could become, and that person never shows up and then they're just mad disappointed. A person can always get better, they can always get worse, but you've got to be fine with what you met them as."

Woah.

This is so true. Dating the idea of someone or hoping you will be able to change someone to be exactly what you want them to be is something we have all been guilty of at one point or another.

But if you can just accept someone as the way they are in this moment, you're either going to be able to leave a relationship that isn't just right for you, or you're going to find much more happiness with your partner than you imagined.

PREACH, girl!

From here on out, I will take Rihanna's advice on pretty much anything. Except maybe eyebrows... those thin brows she sports on the cover of Vogue are just not exactly my style. Of course she pulls them off, though.
