There is a new internet argument that is truly dividing a generation... and it involves one of the best shows of all time, Boy Meets World.
So you know in the show how Cory Matthews lives next door to his long-time teacher, Mr. Feeny?
Well, think again. Because now people are arguing over whether or not Mr. Feeny is the Matthews' NEXT DOOR neighbor, or if he lives behind them, and their back yards back up to each other.
The whole internet frenzy began when Kylie Simpson posted an Instagram poll trying to determine if that yard that so many major scenes occurred in was the back yard or the SIDE yard.
On her poll, people were split exactly 50/50! Which is problematic because now the people need to know.
What is it?!
Well, Kylie went straight to the source and tagged Ben Savage, Rider Strong, Danielle Fishel and Will Friedle to ask them to weigh in on this significant controversy.
And Will and Danielle both actually responded!
Will strongly believes the door leading out of the kitchen, toward Mr. Feeny's house was absolutely the side of the house.
Danielle had other feelings. And added a special touch of "ya weirdos" to the people who thought it was the side yard.
But the argument didn't end there! Will was SO convinced this was the side yard that he reached out to the creator of the show himself.
And he just couldn't get on board with Danielle's theory of it being the backyard, even despite the architecture not completely making sense.
But Danielle had some very specific arguments for the yard next to Mr. Feeny's house being the back yard (and girl I am WITH you on this!)
But then, something happened!!
Will found a shooting script, and had to admit he was wrong.
Of course, he wasn't letting it go easy. He added that he STILL considers it the side... even if the script says otherwise.
Phew, glad we have that case officially closed! I don't think I could handle another moment of my idea of the Boy Meets World being all kinds of messed up.
And can Eric and Topanga just get along!?
