National Butterfly Center To Contest Border Wall

The National Butterfly Center is asking for an emergency restraining order in the legal battle over the border wall. The center's director says documents could be filed as soon as today to stop the federal government from erecting 36-foot tall barriers on its property in Mission, Texas. About 70% of the wildlife center would be cut off by the proposed wall near the Rio Grande River. The Trump administration waived environmental and historic preservation laws last fall to speed up construction of the barriers that were already funded.
