President Trump says he will help after the fiancé of a missing journalist asked him to intervene to help find Jamal Khashoggi. The President says he will speak with the Saudis about the disappearance of the columnist for the Washington Post. Khashoggi, who is a native Saudi is an outspoken critic of his country's regime. He vanished after entering the Saudi consulate in Turkey on October 2nd. Turkish authorities said Saturday that Khashoggi was killed at the consulate, but the Saudi government has denied it. Khashoggi was at the consulate in Istanbul to obtain paperwork to marry his Turkish fiancé, Hatice Cengiz. Tuesday night, the Washington Post published an op-ed by Cengiz imploring President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump to help shed light on his disappearance. Cengiz writes that the incident could potentially lead to a political crisis.
