Ed Sheeran Collaborates With The Game For New Song

2019 is already shaping up to be a year of iconic collabs between some of the world's most beloved artists - and now we have another dynamic duo to add to the list. The Game announced at an intimate listening session in LA that he and Ed Sheeran have collaborated on a song for the rapper's new album. Sheeran will provide the intro for the album entitled "Born to Rap", as well as perform on a song that is currently in the works under the name "Gems in Los Angeles" where he sings the line: "Welcome to the city of sin, living in the city of Angels." The album is scheduled to release on eOne later this year and includes other major features like Meek Mill, 21 Savage, Anderson.Paak, Eric Bellinger, "and one major collab that the Game insisted must remain confidential for the time being", according to Variety

The unlikely pairing originally connected over Twitter a few years back and even announced that they had recorded an entire album together. The Game was quoted by MTV News in April of 2014 saying, “I’m working on a joint album with Ed Sheeran that we trying to drop probably end of the year, beginning of 2015.” However, the only song that ever reached the public was "Freakshow" which was leaked in 2015.
