ABC is facing backlash after releasing the series trailer for the new season of Bachelor In Paradise, premiering on August 14th.
Taping for the show was famously put on hold after misconduct allegations came to light involving former Bachelor/Bachelorette contestants, Corrine and DeMario.
While we're glad to see that the show resumed filming without any further problems, many people felt that the commercial was in poor taste.
Many fans criticised the commercial for exploiting the incident and using it as a marketing opportunity.
Rather than focusing on the content of the upcoming season, the commercial focuses on fan reactions to the almost cancellation, saying "paradise was almost lost."
Trying to incorporate a playful, fun energy when faced with a very serious issue is not always the best approach.
Hopefully they will approach the subject with more grace moving forward!!!
