The remaining four shows of Aerosmith's South American Aero-Vederci Tour have been canceled due to "unexpected medical issues" affecting frontman Steven Tyler.
"Steven is expected to make a full recovery," said a statement by the band released via Tyler's Twitter account.
"With proper rest and treatment he will be back on his feet soon rocking the world."
The band continued, apologizing to fans in Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Mexico, countries where the band canceled performances from September 27 - October 7.
Tyler says he flew back to the United States after Aerosmith's show in São Paulo.
Aerosmith did not elaborate on the issue, but indicated that the condition is not serious.
