Power Book III: Raising Kanan star MeKai Curtis Talks Ruthless Role with Kyle McMahon on Pop Culture Weekly

In this weeks episode of Pop Culture Weekly, Kyle McMahon talks with the cast of Power Book III: Raising Kanan. The spinoff series, which premiers Sunday on Starz, follows the rise of Kanan (played by 50 Cent in the original series) in early 1990's New York. MeKai Curtis stars as Kanan - a young man who is drawn to drugs and the streets while being raised by his strong mother (played by the incredible Tony winner Patina Miller).
Omar Epps and Joey Bada$$ round out the ensemble cast in this well written, gripping drama from franchise creator Courtney Kemp and series co-creator Sascha Penn with 50 Cent serving as an executive producer.
I spoke with Mekai about playing a character whom the audience knows the future of, his excitement for contributing to the Power universe, working with the incredible Patina Miller and more on this weeks episode of Pop Culture Weekly.
