Health officials are reporting a new record for the number of daily cases of COVID-19 for the second consecutive day.
Thursday's update showed two-thousand-425 coronavirus cases, setting a new daily high record and marking an overall increase for the fourth straight day.
There were also 12 additional deaths from COVID-19 reported and over 130 more hospitalizations.
Governor DeWine spoke about his concern for the increase in hospitalizations saying in the past two weeks, almost 450 new people have been admitted for treatment.
Three Ohio counties are at risk of going purple.
The Department of Health released a new color-coded COVID map today, showing Hamilton, Cuyahoga and Clark counties creeping closer to Level Four, represented by the color purple on the map, indicating "severe exposure and spread."
However, those counties were put on alert due to their risk of moving up.
