Hong Kong Disneyland Will Reopen on June 18

It's been about five months since Hong Kong Disneyland closed and they just announced they are reopening this week!

"Today, as our surrounding community takes steps towards recovery, I’m thrilled to announce that Hong Kong Disneyland will also reopen to the public on June 18," managing director Stephanie Young wrote in a statement.

The statement also notes that there will be a significant amount of new safety measures in place beginning on Thursday:

During this initial reopening phase, the park will open with limited attendance. The park will implement social distancing requirements in queues, restaurants, attraction vehicles and at other facilities throughout the park, and will increase the frequency of sanitization and disinfection in high-guest contact areas.

Per CNN, guests will have to book their reservations at least a week in advance of coming to the resort and Annual Passholders will be given priority for booking. Like the measures in place elsewhere, all cast members and guests will be required to wear masks and many crowd-drawing activities (like character photo opps) will not be available for now.
