Harry Styles Hosts “Saturday Night Live,” Performs New Songs

Harry Styles showed off his acting talents this weekend when he was the host and musical guest on “Saturday Night Live.”

He started things off with a pretty funny monologue, where he joked, “Just like all my serious relationships, we’re gonna’ spend one incredible night together and then never see each other again.”

He even teased fans with a One Direction reunion noting, “I’m not in a boy band anymore. I’m in amanband,” adding, “I was in a band called One Direction. How crazy would it be if they were here tonight? Well, they're not here. How crazy would be if they were, though?”

He also shaded his former bandmate Zayn Malik, sharing, “I love those guys. Niall [Horan], Liam [Payne], Louis [Tomlinson],” and then struggled to come up with Malik’s name, adding, “Ringo! Yeah, that’s it!”

  • As for his sketches, he played Aidy Bryant’s dog boyfriend in a pre-taped sketch called “Joan,” a rude airline pilot whose inappropriate comments keep getting aired over the intercom, a social media manager who posted some questionable comments using his company’s Instagram handle, and even a nerdy intern who’s clueless about the dangers of going to Popeye’s to order up all their chicken sandwiches. And for those who stayed up really late, he played half of a pair of funeral DJs, and while the sketch wasn’t that funny, it ended with Harry ripping off his pants, leaving him in his tighty whities.
  • As for the music, Harry performed his new single “Lights Up,” and also treated fans “Watermelon Sugar,” a new track from his upcoming album “Fine Line.” Not long after the performance he officially released the tune.

A sexually charged sketch in the latest “Saturday Night Live” episode has resulted in Instagram trolls flooding the official Sara Lee Bread account with some saucy comments. But when contacted by The Post, the baking company seemed less than battered by it all.

Guest host Harry Styles, 25, played a Sara Lee social media moderator named Dylan whose personal sexual exploits inadvertently collided with his work duties.

When contacted for comment by The Post, Bimbo Bakeries USA — the company which owns Sara Lee — seemed less than stirred up. “We didn’t participate in creating the skit and its content doesn’t align with Sara Lee Bread’s brand. But, we all know SNL pushes the envelope for laughs and we are taking it in stride.”
