Janelle Monáe Discusses Fan Reaction To Dirty Computer

Janelle Monáe was one of the first artists to hit the stage at iHeartRadio's Wango Tango on Saturday, and she did not disappoint.

Before the performance, the singer and actress joined KIIS FM's Jesse Lozano and JoJo Wright to discuss the fan reaction to her new album, Dirty Computer.

The album, which Monáe has referred to as "a homage to women and the spectrum of sexual identities," was released on April 27th.

"It's all love, and I'm so thankful for the many different types of people that have reached out online and in-person," Monáe said. "Although it's a personal experience for me, the artist who made it, it feels like something that was made for them. That's always the best, when your honesty resonates with other people."

Monáe also discusses the nature of her music and why she is embracing the 'cosmic' label that JoJo placed on her recently.
