Dan + Shay & Justin Bieber Live-Debut '10,000 Hours' At CMA Awards

Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber treated country music lovers to a stunning performance tonight!

Dan Smyers, Shay Mooney and Bieber commanded the Country Music Association Awards this evening (November 11) with a charming world premiere television performance of their collab, “10,000 Hours.” Taking center stage for the cross-genre display, the "Holy" pop star and Mooney sat on stools from a safe, socially-distanced six feet apart from each other while serenading viewers watching at home with sweet harmonies as Smyers sang and performed the country pop song live on the piano.

“I'd spend ten thousand hours and ten thousand more/ Oh, if that's what it takes to learn that sweet heart of yours/ And I might never get there, but I'm gonna try/ If it's ten thousand hours or the rest of my life,” Bieber and Mooney sang.

Even Reese Witherspoon was wowed by the presentation, tweeting, "Loved this cross genre moment between @justinbieber and @DanAndShay . Such a beautiful song 💯 #CMAs."

The country-singing duo is nominated for four trophies at this year’s CMA Awards, including Musical Event of the Year, Music Video of the Year and Single of the Year. Tonight, the group celebrated their second time winning Vocal Duo of the Year in a row, as the pair previously took home the same trophy in 2019.

The two crooners tapped the “Yummy” singer-songwriter to record “10,000 Hours” last year and served as a teaser of what’s to come from Dan + Shay’s upcoming fourth studio album. The record, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, was released in October 2019, just days after Bieber tied the knot with Hailey Baldwin in their September 2019 formal wedding.
