Meek Mill, YG, John Legend & More Set For Nipsey Hussle Grammy Tribute

Just as the rumors indicated, the late Nipsey Hussle will be honored at the upcoming 2020 Grammy Awards, the Recording Academy announced in a press release on Tuesday (January 21).

Among the stars set for the posthumous tribute include Kirk Franklin, DJ Khaled, John Legend, Meek Mill, Roddy Ricch and YG. "An activist, entrepreneur and rapper, Nipsey Hussle had a lasting impact on not just his community, but also the culture at large," Ken Ehrlich, Grammy Awards executive producer, said in a statement. "There is no denying the influence he had and his legacy will be felt for generations to come. We are honored to bring together this amazing group of artists to celebrate Nipsey's life and pay tribute to his many contributions to music. It's sure to be a memorable performance."

Hussle, who was shot and killed outside of his Marathon Clothing Store on March 31, is nominated for three awards at this year’s ceremony for Best Rap Performance ("Racks in the Middle”), Best Rap/Sung Collaboration ("Higher") and Best Rap Song ("Racks in the Middle").

Among the other performers for Music's Biggest Night include Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Demi Lovato, Lizzo, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, Camila Cabello, Tyler, The Creator, Rosalía, Jonas Brothers, H.E.R., Bonnie Raitt, Charlie Wilson and Run-DMC, who will perform alongside Aerosmith.

Stay tuned for more updates on the 2020 Grammy Awards, which air live from Los Angeles' Staples Center on CBS on January 26 at 8 PM ET!
