Lady Gaga Honors Late Aunt During Gorgeous Grammys Performance

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga helped kick off the 60th annual Grammy Awards with the second performance of the night ... and it was a beautiful, emotional performance.

Gaga dedicated her Grammys performance to her late aunt Joanne, who passed away when she was just 19 years old due to complications from Lupus.

Seated at a piano covered in angel wings, Gaga looked like a literal angel wearing a gorgeous, soft flowing white gown, accompanied by one guitar player. Before she began, she said, "This is for my father's late sister, Joanne."

She added, "This is for love and compassion, even when you can't understand."

Lady G performed a moving version of "Joanne," before moving on to her previous hit single "Million Reasons." And in the middle of the performance, Gaga gently said "Time's Up," referencing the movement and conversation spreading throughout Hollywood and beyond, especially on Grammy night with the white roses. The pop star wore a white rose while walking the red carpet.

Speaking of what Gaga wore ... the white rose wasn't her only accessory of the night. While performing, you may have noticed the enormous diamond ring on ... THAT finger. Back in November, news broke that Lady G was engaged to her boyfriend Christian Carino. Check out the ring below!
