Harry Styles Wins Two iHeartRadio Music Awards Ahead of 2018 Awards Show

Harry Styles

Ahead of the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards, Harry Styles is taking home two out of the three awards he was nominated for: Best Music Video and Best Cover Song. Both of these categories were socially voted, which means it was Harry's tremendous amount of fans who cast their votes for him to win during the voting period.

Harry wins Best Music Video for his incredible visual for his debut solo single "Sign of the Times," and as for Best Cover Song, Harry wins for his amazing cover of Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain."

After finding out of his double iHeartRadio Music Award win, Harry sent a "massive thank you" to all of his supporters. He said:

"Just wanted to say a massive thank you. I heard I won Best [Music] Video and Best Cover Song. So I wanted to say a massive thank you to all the fans who voted for me, a massive thank you to iHeart for everything and your continued support, and a massive thank you to Fleetwood Mac for writing the most amazing song for me to cover. So have a wonderful evening, I'm sorry I can't be there, and I love you all very much."

In the Best Music Video category, the competition was steep, as Harry's "Sign of the Times" visual was nominated alongside Selena Gomez's "Bad Liar," Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow," Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee's "Despacito," DJ Khaled's "I'm The One," Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do," Miley Cyrus's "Malibu," Dua Lipa's "New Rules," Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You," Demi Lovato's "Sorry Not Sorry," Katy Perry's "Swish Swish," Bruno Mars's "That's What I Like," and Shawn Mendes's "There's Nothing Holding Me Back."

Harry's video was unforgettable this year, especially as the pop star is seen floating through mid air above scenic outdoor landscapes and a body of water.

In the Best Cover Song category, Harry's Fleetwood Mac cover was up against Shawn Mendes's cover of Chance the Rapper's "All We Got," HAIM's cover of Selena Gomez's "Bad Liar," Niall Horan's cover of Julia Michaels's "Issues," Khalid's cover of Frank Ocean's "Lost," Camila Cabello & Machine Gun Kelly's cover of James Arthur's "Stay You Won't Let Go," and Thirty Seconds To Mars's "The Tribute Song" - a medley of David Bowie’s "Heroes," Soundgarden’s "Black Hole Sun," Linkin Park’s "Crawling," Prince’s "Purple Rain" and George Michael’s "Freedom."
