Weezer to Celebrate 'The Black Album' During Intimate Album Release Party

Coming off of their amazing performance at this year's iHeartRadio ALTer EGO in Los Angeles, and the release of their covers album, The Teal Album, Weezer is preparing to drop their long-awaited Black Album. And the band is celebrating big during their exclusive iHeartRadio Album Release Party on February 28th in New York City.

Fans have been waiting for The Black Album to arrive ever since Rivers Cuomo gave them a subtle tease after releasing The White Album in 2016. The LP is Weezer's 13th studio album and features their current single "Can't Knock The Hustle" and recently released "Zombie Bastards." Meanwhile, to tide fans over, the band dropped the Teal Album, which features their popular "Africa" cover, as well as other covers of songs from artists including TLC, Michael Jackson and more.

Meanwhile, Weezer's last album, Pacific Daydream, is up for a Grammy this year for Best Rock Album. And the band's "Africa" cover is also nominated for two iHeartRadio Awards, Best Alternative Rock Song and Best Cover Song (which is a socially voted category). Fans can vote for Weezer for Best Cover Song via social media using the corresponding hashtag through March 7th.

During their intimate iHeartRadio Album Release Party, Weezer will give fans a taste of their Black Album before it officially drops on March 1st, talk about the record during an exclusive Q&A, in addition to performing some fan favorites.
