Driver Beware: Trump bumper stickers have haters seeing red

At a bullfight, there's a palpable twinge to the air the moment the bull loses its mind. Lured by the red cape, the bull stomps, howls, shakes its head. It prepares to charge, it howls again, chuffs, then charges, full bore, sprinting at the red like a steam engine that can't be stopped—only to have the red yanked away from it at the last second.

In Barnstable, Massachusetts, a similar scene played out on the road, at a red light. A man and his girlfriend were waiting patiently at a red light, when all of a sudden, the bull emerged, in the form of a 25-year-old woman in a Gray Honda Civic.

The man and his girlfriend heard banshee-like screaming and got out of the car, thinking that the 25-year-old woman was trying to tell them that something was wrong with their car. No. She was blinded by the red. She was livid. She was in the throes and tosses of a bull's rage, fixated on the red cape of a Trump bumper sticker.

"She said, 'You voted for Trump?'" the man recalled her saying. "I said yes. She called me a racist and several other names."

She was easy for the police spot, and even easier to throw into a jail cell.

Well that did it. The woman reared her car, chuffed, howled, then charged at the man's car. The man got it all on video. "She bent my door and I had to lean back to avoid getting hit," the man said. "She also hit the side of my car."

Then, with tire smoke lingering in the air, the woman raged off, howling and screaming. She was easy for the police spot, and even easier to throw into a jail cell. I feel like there's a lesson in that.
