De Niro at da Tony's gets obscenely polictical

I was just about to ask "who watched the Tony's last night," but just playing the law of averages I kind of doubt the two people in America that actually did watch are listening right now. But if you did, you might have been a little confused when Robert De Niro walked to the mic. De Niro walks out, you hear a couple cheers, then the audio goes completely dead. When the sound comes back up, De Niro is raising his fists in the air as the crowd commences to give a wild standing ovation.

Did De Niro just wow Radio City Music Hall with a masterful rendition of Henry the fifth? Maybe he said this!

"The game's afoot:

Follow your spirit, and upon this charge

Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'"

That surely would have brought the Broadway loving crowd to their feet, but - yeah - that's not what he said. This is what he really said. It may not be in Shakespeare's unrhymed iambic pentameter, but this is the new poetry for the leftist tribe. It went something like this. Quote:

"I'm going to say this, f*** Trump. It's no longer just down with Trump, it's f*** Trump."

Yep, that's what brought the crowd to their feet. So if you're one of the millions of people that voted for the President, do you switch off the TV, or were you not even watching to begin with? Apparently Robert De Niro - and all the other Broadway and Hollywood elites sitting in the theater - are so butt hurt that their friend, Hillary Clinton, lost the election that they could give a flying crap about half the country.

What courage! Give me a break. It really is amazing how these people can't figure out how arrogant and insulting they are to middle America.

Wasn't it brave that De Niro found the courage to stand up in front of that hostile crowd and boldly declare his defiance towards the President? What courage! Give me a break. It really is amazing how these people can't figure out how arrogant and insulting they are to middle America. These award shows are always the same. It's a gathering of millionaires, that just left their 20 million dollar homes, who can't wait to Hi Five each other over how awesome they are while arrogantly insulting millions of hard working Americans. Factory workers, ranchers, farmers… I'm sure they'd LOVE to see a broadway play, but who would go now? I read a passage in Variety this morning describing last night's award show and it cracked me up. Quote:

" Ostensibly a celebration of theater, the Tony's were an opportunity for Broadway to talk up the virtues of inclusion and diversity, while also drawing attention to gay rights, gun control, and the challenges facing immigrants."

Umm… yeah. And you wonder why no one watches these things anymore. Congratulations Broadway and Hollywood, pretty soon the only audience you'll have is two states out of fifty, your moms and dads, and the rest of your colleagues.
