Glenn Beck was back at the chalkboard today to spotlight the historic events happening in North Korea and give us the latest on what's going on in the growing conflict between Israel and Iran.

North Korea releases three American detainees

In an extraordinary foreign-policy victory for the Trump administration, North Korea released American detainees Kim Dong Chul, Tony Kim and Kim Hak Song on Wednesday, turning them over to the care of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Pompeo was on his second trip to North Korea in order to discuss President Donald Trump's upcoming summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. To read the full story, click here.

President Trump shared the good news in the following tweet:

President Trump personally welcomed home three Americans early Thursday morning at Joint Base Andrews Air Force Base. Later the same day, President Trump tweeted that his meeting with Kim Jong Un will take place in Singapore on June 12th.

Conflict in the Middle East heats up

For the first time, Iranian forces fired 20 missiles from Syria toward Israeli positions in the disputed Golan Heights region on Thursday.

Israel responded with airstrikes of its own, wiping out several Iranian posts in Syria. It was the most direct confrontation yet between the two longtime enemies. To read the full story, click here.
