Dave Grohl Forgets the Words to CCR's "Fortunate Son" at Charity Gig: Watch

Dave Grohl is no stranger to charitable work, and he's wrapping up the year by helping feed those in need at the Regional Food Bank in his hometown of Los Angeles. Along with serving up tasty BBQ, the Foo Fighters frontman performed Creedence Clearwater Revival's hit, "Fortunate Son," with chefs Bruce Kalman, Tyler Anderson, Nick Shipp, and Duff Goldman under the moniker Foie Grock. Donning a pair of glasses, Grohl started off the set by saying "I hope I remember the song." He quickly proved he did not, making up lyrics about treats, pizza, and ice cream.

"This is some keg party s**t, just so you all know. This is what happens when a bunch of people who cook food start a rock and roll band, and that’s what happens when a bunch of people who play rock and roll try to cook food," he said midway through the song, pointing past the crowd. "I wish I knew how this song goes, I don’t think it matters anymore.”

It didn't. The fans could care less about the song's lyrics, they were just excited to see the legend shred and eat some tasty treats, pizza, and ice cream.
