Old Dominion Welcomes Friends to Sold-Out Concert at Ryman Auditorium

An Evening with Old Dominion and Friends turned into a night the country music super group will never forget.

The reigning ACM Vocal Group of the Year performed in front of a sold-out crowd Tuesday (9/18) at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, and there was “love and music and history swirling around” during the 120-minute set, front man Matthew Ramsey says. “What an unforgettable night,” he adds. “The Nashville community has given so much to us. Our lives have changed in ways we could never have imagined - so we felt like this show at the Ryman was a great way to start giving back….” Proceeds from the show totaling $40,000 will be split evenly between the night’s two beneficiaries, the Ryan Seacrest Foundation and the Opry Trust Fund. “We are beyond proud to be able to raise money and help those who need it - along with help from our friends,” Matthew goes on to say.

Additionally, special guests Michael Ray, Kelsea Ballerini, Sam Hunt and Kenny Chesney, who not even Old Dominion knew would be in attendance, took to the stage to perform songs members of OD helped to write. The band will next re-enter the studio to finish work on their third studio album.

The fall leg of their Happy Endings World Tour begins October 4 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
