Rolling Stone Ranks The Best Musical Performances On "Saturday Night Live"

"Saturday Night Live" is celebrating its 50th year on NBC, so Rolling Stone decided to rank the top 50 musical performances ever on the show. They’re close to 1,000 episodes at this point, which means there are tons to choose from. I can’t imagine trying to narrow those down, but hey...I don’t have to. They already did!

Here are the top 5. See if you agree:

  1. "The Man Who Sold the World" - David Bowie (12/15/1979)
  2. "Bastards of Young" - The Replacements (1/18/1986)
  3. "Radio Radio" - Elvis Costello (12/17/1977)
  4. "Partyup" - Prince (2/21/1981)
  5. "The National Anthem" - Radiohead (10/14/2000)

I have only ever seen one of those. Might have to do a deep dive on YouTube.
