Weezer Releases Pre-Fame Song "Superman"
It’s hard to argue that this is a fantastic way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of a huge milestone. Ahead of the release of the 30th Anniversary Edition box set of “Blue Album,” Weezer has released a true hidden treasure; the only known band recording of one of their earliest songs, “Superman”. Subtitled “Garage Practice,” that’s exactly what it’s from. Longtime friend, collaborator, and band historian Karl Koch says in the liner notes that the band didn’t roll tape at practice, saying “it only happened twice.”
