A series of suspected Sasquatch sightings in a Virginia community prompted a local police department to issue a statement wherein they revealed that the 'creature' was merely a prankster in a costume. According to a local media report, the odd flap occurred late last month when several people in the town of Wintergreen either spotted what appeared to be Bigfoot in the wild or inadvertently captured photos of the elusive cryptid by way of their doorbell cameras. It would seem that the sightings were so prevalent that word of the weird series of events eventually reached the town's police department, which was forced to take to social media and clear up the matter.
