A Japanese company has successfully tested a new rocket that’s fueled by cow dung.

The rocket, which was developed by Interstellar Technologies Incorporated, doesn’t run on pure cow poop; the manure must first be converted into liquid biomethane. The company says the rocket cost about one-tenth of the money to manufacture than conventional rockets do.

By putting cow dung to good use, Interstellar officials say they’re reducing the amount of methane gas that’s released into the air – which helps slow down climate change.

That's cool and all, however, we used this technology first. You can listen to WEBN on iHeartRadio powered by KiddChris's poop!
