This latest rap/rock moment has a lot of people talking. Rapper Lil Uzi Vert’s new album Pink Tape features the track “CS,” which features samples of the System Of A Down track “Chop Suey.” SOAD fans are not happy about this sampling either, with some saying the rapper ruined the track. Many fans are wondering why SOAD allowed the sample in the first place.
While it's gotten mixed reviews from rock fans, actual band members seem to approve of the cover.
Frontman Serj Tankain took to social media and shared an article about the cover, writing, “Covers are always the biggest compliment to artists and songwriters.”
Bassist Shavo Odadjian, meanwhile, shared the cover on Instagram, writing, “Have you heard the @liluzivert cover of Chop Suey?”
