Stonehenge will soon be joined by an unlikely companion in the form of an enormous replica of the mysterious megalithic monument to be constructed entirely out of Lego bricks. The ambitious endeavor was announced today by English Heritage, the organization which oversees the iconic site. Beginning this coming Saturday and unfolding over the course of the next week, Lego masters Kevin Hall and Emily Corl will build the massive model next to the ancient monument in Wiltshire. Set to measure a staggering 15 feet tall with a weight of approximately one ton, the giant replica will require over 400,000 Lego bricks to complete.
