It is rumored that there is a U.S. remake of Netflix's Squid Game series being developed at the streaming service.
This rumor originated from Jeff Sneider's The Hot Mic podcast where it was also said that they want director David Fincher, who directed Fight Club and Se7en, to produce the project. Squid Game was released in September 2021 and quickly became such a hit series on Netflix. The show is about 456 players who have been selected to play various children's games and the winning prize at the end of it all is $45.6 billion. If any one of the players loses in one of the selected games, then they will be killed instantly.
