The viral TikTok Pink Sauce is about to hit store shelves and even restaurants soon! Influencer Veronica Shaw, also known as Chef Pii, is updating her viral TikTok Pink Sauce for the grocery store shelves and restaurants and it'll be coming this fall!
Chef Pii's bright Pink Sauce sold out on her website in only a few days, with one bottle of Pink Sauce selling for $20😳 The brand faced some issues because of her lack of knowledge in commercial food production as well as labeling errors. People also complained that the sauce made them sick, which lead to food safety concerns, and even one person tried to fake their own death due to eating the sauce😭
After all the negative comments on the sauce, Chef Pii end up partnering with sauce company Dave's Gourmet in hopes to turn around the famous sauce. Although the sauce is vegetarian, Dave's Gourmet told VegNews that they are working on making the original recipe vegan and gluten free friendly.
Dave's Gourmet is best known for its vegan Insanity Sauce made popular by the YouTube series Hot Ones. President Dave Neuman, of Dave's Gourmet shares:
"It’s our pleasure to reach out to a talented foodie who has not had any experience with commercial production of sauces, and, with our expertise and resources, help bring her Pink Sauce to the market. We encourage other food companies to do the same. The youth of today have their fingers on the pulse of what their contemporaries want but may not have the knowledge, ability or capital to bring a product idea to market quickly, safely and on a large scale,” Neuman said. “Look for the jaw-dropping Pink Sauce on various e-commerce platforms, in restaurants, and on major food retailers’ shelves soon. We are excited and striving to make The Pink Sauce a household name.”
