Would You Board A Sky Cruise?!

So there is this new video rendering of Sky Cruise that gives a glimpse of the future hotel and air travel!

The Sky Cruise is a flying hotel that can carry more than 5,000 passengers and thanks to its 20 nuclear powered engines it doesn’t even need to land and there are no pilots! It's all AI.

The not landing part is kind of scary but there are some perks to that!

Because Sky Cruise doesn't land and all fixes are done in the air, it endlessly cruises above the cloud line offering spectacular sunrises and sunsets, beautiful night skies and the promise of the aurora borealis up close! Now that part sounds so cool!

Also, because it doesn't land, passengers would have to be ferried up on conventional airliners and private jets that dock with the Sky Hotel and drop them off via an external elevator. I feel like this would be the scariest part!

Once onboard, the passengers would enjoy luxurious living with a 360-degree viewing deck and a huge concourse with shopping malls, state-of-the-art medical facility and all the usual trappings of a cruise ship at sea in the main body of the ‘plane’!

Another plus is that there is also no turbulence! Sky Hotel’s AI system promises to predict in advance and use a technology similar to noise canceling to balance out the bumps so passengers “glide over the vibrations with ease”. No turbulence and no motion sickness does sound pretty nice.

Right now, it’s just a concept but because of Small Modular Nuclear Reactor (SMR) that's expected to join the grid in 2029, and the US is investing heavily in commercial nuclear fusion research the Sky Cruise could someday take off!

I'm not sure how I feel about a flying cruise ship but the views and experience does sound beautiful.
