The CDC Drops Quarantine Time, Social Distancing & More For COVID-19

Today the CDC announced that they are relaxing some of the COVID-19 guidelines due to recognition that about 95% of Americans (16 years and older) have some type of immunity from being vaccinated or catching the virus. Below are some of the guidelines the CDC has relaxed:

  • Americans won't have to quarantine if they come into close contact with someone who has COVID-19
  • People will no longer need to social distance (6 feet away from one another)
  • Schools won't need to do routine daily testing

Some of these guidelines could be reinstated if there is a surge in COVID-19 infections. Head over to ABC 7 for more.
