Am I the only one that feels like movies lately have been kind of, meh? As it turns out, no. IMDb has a list of the top five films of all time and only ONE is from this century - The Dark Knight. The Christopher Nolan film isn't only a bonafide classic, it's Heath ledger's most iconic performance. He was even recognized posthumously for his performance with an Oscar.
The rest of the list includes The Shawshank Redemption, The Godfather, The Godfather Part II, and 12 Angry Men. How The Nightmare Before Christmas wasn't on this list is beyond me.
