California might actually owe you money and officials want to help you get it! The Unclaimed Assets Program is designed to help people find any unclaimed assets owed to them. According to officials, banks, insurance companies, corporations, and other groups are required to report and submit their customers’ property to the Secretary of State’s Office when there has been no activity for a set period of time. For the majority of assets, there is no deadline to when they can be claimed back. If you're interested in finding out more information, you should visit claimit.ca.gov.
