Hey, guys, ditch the shirtless profile pics …A new survey found that while guysthinka shirtless photo will get them more matches on dating apps, seems the opposite is true. The survey, by Dating.com, found that 90% of guys using dating apps think posing without a shirt will get them more attention. But the research revealed that men posing shirtless in their profile pics get 25% fewer matches. This may be why … 66% of the women surveyed said shirtless pictures are a sign of immaturity. And 79% of women respondents said they wouldn't even consider dating a guy with a shirtless pic on their profile. 

But it seems guys have no problem with women showing skin in their profile pics. In fact, the survey revealed that women wearing bikinis in their pics were 40% more likely to get matches. (Insider)

Speaking of dating apps …The same Dating.com survey found that more and more people are talking politics on dating apps – but most find it a turn-off. The research found that there was a 43% increase in users talking about politics in the last month. But that doesn’t mean people like the political chatter. In fact, more than 50% of those surveyed said they would ghost someone who brought up politics. But this is interesting … While people would rather not talk politics, a whopping 84% of respondents said they would never consider dating someone who had opposing political beliefs. This was particularly true for women – with 67% of women surveyed saying they would not date someone who had different political views. And this may be why … 67% of respondents revealed that they’d had a previous relationship end because of political differences. (Insider)

Baby’s back …Rumors are swirling that Lionsgate, the company that owns the distribution rights forDirty Dancing, is in talks with the movie’s star,Jennifer Grey, to direct a ’90s- themed dance movie that will be related to the original film. Amazon Prime Day postponed again …Bad news, internet shoppers. Amazon Prime Day has been postponed again. The annual shopping event usually takes place mid-July, but due to COVID-19 the online super sale was postponed until September. Well, Amazon just announced that that date has been pushed back another month to sometime in October. No word on the exact date, but for now, reps are saying early in the month ... just in time to start your Christmas shopping. (BHG)

Remote work is here to stay for a while …Amazon just announced that it is extending work-from-home for corporate employees until January 2021. Amazon joins Facebook and Google, which have both implemented remote work through the end of the year. Apple is also considering keeping its offices closed through the end of the year. (The Verge)
