MLB Is Now Giving Refunds For Games That Should've Been Played!

A couple of weeks ago, we talked about how The Dodgers aren't refunding tickets for games that would've been played already as they are just "postponed" since baseball season is currently up in the air. Well, MLB changed their minds and those missed/postponed games are now considered cancelled so teams will start issuing refunds within the next few days. However, how the refunds are handled will be up to each individual team. This news comes a week after fans filed a class-action lawsuit demanding refunds from MLB, its 30 teams and ticket brokers StubHub, Ticketmaster, Live Nation and Last Minutes Transactions.

The Los Angeles Times reported:

“While many businesses across this country have acted lawfully and ethically by providing consumers with refunds for events that will never occur during this pandemic, sometimes at the risk of bankruptcy, it remains notable that America’s pastime — baseball — is refusing to do right by its fans,” the lawsuit reads. “As stadiums remain empty for the foreseeable future, baseball fans are stuck with expensive and unusable tickets for unplayable games in the midst of this economic crisis.”
