CORONAVIRUS: Poll Shows Mistrust of Government

  • It's upsetting to see that about 30 percent of Americans really believe that the government is delaying a life-saving vaccine.
  • This poll was conducted before many rallies started popping up at state capitols, so the results could actually be more surprising now.

A new poll suggests that when it comes to information and data concerning the coronavirus, a large portion of America doesn't trust the government.

The poll, conducted by UCLA andUSA Today, found that about half of Americans don't believe that nearly 50,000 people have died from the virus and nearly one-third believe that a vaccine already exists and is being held up by the government.

44 percent of Americans said they believe the coronavirus was created in a lab, a suggestion that has already been rejected by the World Health Organization and other experts. And it appears that Americans are following social distancing guidelines as 81 percent say they haven't left their homes for a prolonged period of time.
