CORONAVIRUS: Trump Announces European Travel Ban

Donald Trump addressed the nation on Wednesday evening about the continuing threat of the coronavirus. In his speech, he announced a 30-day travel ban between the U.S. and the Europe that will begin at Friday at midnight.

The United Kingdom will not be included in the travel ban.

In the speech, Trump came off decidedly different than he has in his previous remarks about the threat of the coronavirus. He previously compared it to the common flu, but Wednesday he urged Americans to take the threat of the virus seriously.

In addition, Trump said he's directing the Small Business Administration to offer low-interest loans to businesses affected by the coronavirus, saying he wants Congress to increase funding by $50 billion. (The Washington Post)
